Monkey Cupcakes Made Easy

This is an idea of monkey cupcakes using butter cookies. The butter cookies are for the monkey's ears.

Ingredients

• Cupcakes - any recipe

• Buttercrean icing in white, dark brown and light brown

• Chocolate chips

• Butter cookies

• Licorice strips in red

Decorating Method

1. Cover cupcakes with dark brown icing.

2. Cut the butter cookies to make the monkey's ears.

3. Place the two cut butter cookies on each cupcake, one on the right and the other on the left.

4. Make the monkey's eyes by piping out 2 small dots of white buttercream icing. On each dot, place one chocolate chip upside down to make the eyes.

5. Pipe out an oval shape using light brown icing.

6. Cut the red licorice strips into short lengths. Place one short strip on the light brown icing the make the mouth.
