How To Make Monster Cupcakes

How To Make Frosty The Cupcake

Duration : 1:49

How To Make

Ready to scare up a delightfully creepy Halloween confection? I'm Lee Woodruff in the kitchen with Family Fun.

Surprise your little goblins with these monster headed cupcakes filled with slimy green pudding.

You'll need cupcakes from your favorite recipe, vanilla flavored pudding, green food coloring, green melting candy, large marshmallows, skewers, a wax paper lined baking sheet, M&M Mini's, a small serrated knife, chocolate frosting, black decorating icing, and green Tic Tac mints.

First, bake and cool the cupcakes.

Then, stir some drops of green food coloring into the vanilla pudding until you have a shade you like, and place it in the refrigerator to chill.

Next, microwave green candy for one minute at fifty percent power and stir.

We used Wilton candy melts which are available at any party store.

If necessary, heat the candy in fifteen second intervals until it's completely melted.

One at a time, spear large marshmallows with a skewer and roll them in the melting candy coating the sides completely.

Set them on a waxed paper lined baking sheet and add the M&M Mini's for monster eyes.

Place them in the fridge to chill. With a small serrated knife, remove a one inch wide chunk from the center of each cupcake.

Fill the hole with a teaspoon or so of the pudding and then spread chocolate frosting over the top of the cupcake.

Place a chilled marshmallow on the center, add black icing for facial features, and now two green Tic Tac mints make Frankenstein's bolts.

Finally, top each monster head with a bit of frosting and spike it up with your finger or a fork.

Let those monsters chill out in the fridge until serving time.
