How To Make Choo Choo Cupcakes

Hi, I'm Lee Woodruff in the kitchen with Family Fun.

Need a treat for a school party? Get on board with these I choo choose you cupcakes.

You'll need pre-baked cupcakes, some white icing, toothpicks, Tootsie Rolls, red licorice, mini peanut butter cups, red rots, red decorating gel; and for the sweet message, white card stock, scissors and markers.

First frost the cupcakes. Be sure to use a generous amount.

To make the train, start with a Tootsie Roll; cut off one third and firmly place this piece on the back end of your longer piece.

For the smokestack, use a piece of licorice and attach it to the top of the engine with a toothpick.

Place it on top of the cupcake and gently press to secure.

For the cow catcher use half a peanut butter cup, place it upside down in front of the engine.

And, as for wheels, place red dots along the bottom of each side.

Use decorating gel to draw tracks.

And, finally, for the Valentine sentiment, create a puff of steam out of card stock and write, ìI choo choose you.î Then tape the message to your smokestack.

Have the kids pitch in and make batches for their family and friends.
