How To Use Cupcake Toppers For Decorating

Cupcake toppers are probably the easiest way to decorate your cupcakes.

Most of these toppers are readily made available at the cake decorating store or party supplies store. But you can also make your own.

Basically, toppers can be edible or non-edible.

Edible Toppers

Edible toppers are those that you can eat. For example, toppers made of royal icing are ready-made. These are also called sugar toppers.

You can just simply place them on each cupcake and the cupcakes will look lovely instantly. You can see some of my cupcakes that used royal icing toppers.

Other kinds of edible toppers are those that are made of candy. I haven't used these toppers before but I sure would like to try.

Non-Edible Toppers

Yup! This one you cannot eat. There are many kinds of non-edible toppers.

One type is made of plastic. Definitely, non-eatable. Look at the cupcakes below to see how I've used plastic toppers for my cupcakes.

Another non-edible toppers are candle toppers. Making these are quite hard, so I recommend you just buy them from a party store or browse from our collection.
