Airplane Cupcakes For The Future Pilot
Boys will love these airplane cupcakes. So did my son. When I made these during his 2nd birthday party, all the boys were excited. You can imagine how excited they were by the look on their faces. I was glad of how the cupcakes turned out. Aeroplane Cupcakes 
Ingredients
- Buttercream icing in white, yellow, light blue
- Marzipan in yellow, red and blue
Decorating Method
1. Cover half of the cupcakes with light blue icing and flatten with spatula. 2. For the other half of the cupcakes, make a big swirl of light blue icing on each. 3. Prepare the airplanes using marzipan. Make the body in red, the propellers in yellow. 4. Place on airplane on each cupcake with the swirl. 5. On the flat cupcakes, using tip #1, pipe out white icing to make the clouds. 6. Then, using the same tip with yellow icing, pipe out to make the sun. 7. Continue until all cupcakes are decorated.

The perfect solution for those who do not have time to decorate airplane plane cupcakes but want great results. Use plane candle holders to decorate the cupcakes. You can buy them at the cake decorating store or at the party supply store. Ingredients
- Buttercream icing in dark brown
Decorating Method
1. Cover cupcakes by making big swirls on each of the cupcake using dark brown icing. 2. Place each airplane candle holder on each cupcake. 3. Insert candles into candle holders.

If your son dreams to become a pilot one day, then these airplane cupcakes is perfect for his birthday. I used royal icing aeroplane toppers which I got at the cake supplies store, together with sugar crystals and sprinkles. Ingredients
- royal icing aeroplane toppers
- yellow and blue sugar crystals
How To Decorate
1. Make a swirl of white icing on each cupcake. 2. Sprinkle over yellow sugar on some of the cupcakes, and the rest, blue sugar crystals. 3. Sprinkle also the stars and moon sprinkles on each cupcake. 4. Place each royal icing airplane topper on each cupcake.
